PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Define customer needs on product lines, individual product and total service requirements by understanding their business and their behaviors
·Identify and analyze key market drivers and market trends, understand the impact of these drivers and trends on customer needs
·Develop and implement market research activities and plans
·Develop a robust Product Planning Process, use PDP Programs to work with the factories, serve as marketing inputs to all PDP programs
·Develop and Maintain robust Red Dot Charts to guide Deere factories in defining and developing products to meet future customer needs
·Establish and maintain market segmentation
·Establish and maintain market information system
·Design and execute competition Intelligence
·Coach and direct Marketing Research Staff
QUALIFICATIONS
·4-year Engineering degree
·3 -5years minimum work experience in multinational company preferred
·Former market research experience preferred
·Good understanding of Research methodology and the ability to apply appropriately
·Ability to use statistical tools for decision making
·Understand key market drivers and their influence in the marketplace
·Understand customer needs by value proposition & customer economics
·Ability to apply modern Customer Value Analysis methodology
·General Mechanical Engineering knowledge
·Sufficient level of Ag Equipment products and their use
·Understanding of government agricultural policies and plans
·Proficient use of Microsoft Office software
·Fluent written and spoken English
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
·Extensive travel required
