transport logistic China press tours were successfully held in Beijing, Shanghai, Ningbo and Suzhou during 14-21 May, 2008. As one of the most important promotion events of the exhibition, the press tour aroused widespread concern in the industry. With the slogan ‘A trip of delivery and discovery’, the press tour combined information, communication and interactive activities together, firmly grasped the hottest topics. The Exhibition Group Director of Messe München GmbH Mr. Klein introduced the latest development of transport logistic China 2008 which will be held from 17 to 19 June to all the media partners and industry companies.

transport logistic China always chooses the cities with rapid developing to hold the promotion events. Beside Beijing and Shanghai, Suzhou and Ningbo are chosen for its effect in Jiangsu and Zhejiang province, which covered the entire Yangtze River delta area.

The event with clear theme and combination of regional highlights

The press tour combined the regional characters and exhibition highlights perfectly. For example, Beijing station chose the ‘Sports Logistics’ as the theme and invited the important exhibitor which is also 2008 Beijing Olympics service provider – Schenker to give the speech. The content mainly concerns the opportunities and challenges brought by the large scale sports events, and how to offer professional logistics service. For Suzhou station, the theme switched to ‘The Development of Logistics Parks Construction’. The press conference located in ProLogis Park Suzhou, and the host arranged the Logistics Park tour for all the participants. In Ningbo, the topics were about the development of shipping and harbor constructions in Ningbo. Ningbo government officers were invited to attend the press conference, and many of them showed the interest to establish cooperation with international shipping and harbor companies.

Perfect platform for communications

The host meant to make the press tour another communication platform besides the exhibition itself. Many mass medias, industry medias and industry companies were invited to attend the press conference. The participants in Beijing, Suzhou and Ningbo were all over 60, while in Shanghai more than 100 participants attended the press conference. All the participants took the opportunities to establish the network with each other.
